How to Wear the Pretty Pastels of Fall 2013
The light cotton candy pinks, sweet baby blues and whipped lemon yellows that floated down the runways this season caused me to do a momentary double-take. This is Autumn/Winter 2013-14, right?
From Carven to Gucci, these spring hued pastels brought a light-hearted mood that seemed to snub the colder days to come. And while you could cozy up to the pastel toned outwear that dominated the catwalk, much of what you need to rock this fall color trend may already be in your closet.
Through simple layering and a few accessories you can easily transition your spring/summer pinks, light blues and even yellows into your wardrobe for fall. You will find that these pastel colors blend seamlessly with the greys, browns and creamy whites of autumn.

Here are two easy ways to use to transition your spring/summer pastels into a warmer look for autumn:
|Headed to the office? Layering pastel tops under a blazer or structured jacket gives a new look and life to sleeveless styles and tanks. You'll also find that your pastel tops provide a pretty contrast to the dark hued denims and trousers prevelant in the fall.||Warm up cool pastels by pairing them with autumn's knit cardigans. By wearing this color trend with a neutral cardigan you allow your pastels to add a pop of color to your autumn look that's never overpowering.|
